Chase recently announced the launch of the Marriott Bonvoy Bold card It’s the program’s first co-branded card with no annual fee and is well- positioned to appeal to young, experiential travelers who seek to maximize their travel experiences on their own terms. The Marriott Bonvoy Bold card offers 3X points on purchases at more than 7,000 properties that participate in the Marriott Bonvoy travel program, and a limited time new cardmember offer of 50,000 points.

The card launched on Instagram and played up the current heritage travel trend. The launch included an event that brought select guests to Ellis Island to uncover insights about their heritage from expert genealogists – all promoted via Instagram.

An Instagram launch is a strategic move given Instagram’s significant influence on young travelers. Mintel research on experiential travel shows that a third of younger Millennials find out about travel destinations on Instagram, versus 15% of Americans overall.

“We know not every Cardmember wants to pay an annual fee, so we worked closely with Marriott to create a product that complements the $95 Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card – all while providing valuable rewards to those passionate about reconnecting with family and friends through travel,” said Leslie Gillin, Chase Co-Branded Cards President.
